I had cervical spine discectomy and fusion in 2013. It was a huge surprise to me that I had this condition considering my overall health and wellness. The staff at Princeton Neurological Surgery (PNS) was, this is an understatement, amazing. My entire experience could not have been more positive. I went to two other neurological specialists for opinions, including a large, well respected hospital, which I would describe as a “cattle call.” While that individual doctor I met with is considered “one of the best,” I was shuttled in and out with little attention paid to my specific circumstances. On the other hand, Dr Lipani and Kathy spent the a significant period of time talking with me, looking at my images, and discussing any questions I had. I ended up choosing PNS even though they were “out of network” for my health plan, and it was absolutely worth it. While no surgery is ever pleasant, I felt like PNS was family the entire process and recovery. I think Dr Lipani’s skills and knowledge base are truly second to none, and he relates so well to patients. His attention to detail was incredible in comparison to the other specialists with whom I talked. I also had numerous financial issues with the insurance company which was a lengthy and unpleasant process. Kathy was amazing, dealing with the insurance company on my behalf when I asked, and never broke any promises about billing issues. I could not more highly recommend this practice, regardless of the surgical needs.

Princeton Neurological Surgery is highly recommended. I received top notch care from the moment I walked into the office. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Kathy handled all my insurance pre-certifications and made sure that no aspect was a stress to me. Dr. Lipani is the absolute best. He takes the time to fully explain and answers questions, has a great bedside manner, and saw me every day of my hospital stay after surgery, even on a holiday. I wouldn’t let any other neurosurgeon but Dr. Lipani and his staff treat me. The best in the area.

If you are looking for an excellent neurosurgeon and office to go with it look no further. I had a difficult surgery on my neck with fantastic results and what a life changer. The bonus is office administrator Kathleen is there for you with everything and also assists in navigating through the insurance. They both take their time with you and give you the attention you need and answer all questions in a way you understand. Prior to my appointment Kathleen assisted in getting the Prior Auth for an MRI I needed to bring to my consult. I had the MRI and that night at home Dr. Lipani called me concerned with the results. I didn’t even have my appointment yet who does that? I have never waited more than 5 minutes to see Dr. Lipani for a scheduled appointment and when you call you are answered promptly. This is an excellent practice in every aspect. I highly recommend Princeton Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Lipani and his staff are excellent. Dr. Lipani was very thorough. He explained what needed to be treated and why. He has terrific bedside manners. He answered all my questions patiently. Did not rush me at any time. I recommended him to one of my friends and she was extremely happy with him too.

Extraordinary practice! I was in excruciating pain before seeing Dr. Lipani. Another doctor had recommended laminectomy plus spinal fusion. With the help of Kathy Bonner, Dr. Lipani’s compassionate and top notch office manager I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Lipani on short notice. Kathy was terrific in listening to my situation and addressing my concerns. Dr. Lipani reviewed my radiology on the first day I phoned the office while he was on a business trip. Kathy phoned me the same day and indicated that after reviewing my radiology, Dr. Lipani didn’t think that spinal fusion was necessary! Great news! My husband and I met with Dr. Lipani the next business day. He was very thorough and patient taking the time to explain everything and to answer all questions. His final diagnosis was made only after linking physiological examination responses with the computerized radiological images. This thorough approach demonstrates the level of care and certainty that Dr. Lipani uses in performing his work. After a successful surgery, Dr. Lipani continued with his support striving for results beyond my expectations. I am now not only pain free but have also regained muscle functioning that I had lost due to long term nerve compression. Kathy expertly interfaced with my insurance company to achieve the financial arrangement expected. Dr. Lipani and Kathy have changed my life. They have my highest recommendation and heartfelt thanks. Princeton Neurological Surgery is truly unbelievable!! The office staff is tremendous – they are always available and return calls promptly. Cathy the office manager goes out of her way to assist you. Getting an appointment is super easy and you are seen promptly. Dr. Lipani takes his time and listens – never rushed! The office staff will follow up and stay in touch with you even after appointments or procedures. We drive almost an hour from Edison to the office simply because of Dr. Lipani and his team. I recommend Princeton Neurological Surgery to anyone who is starting the process of finding a doctor or someone who is not happy or needs a second opinion.

Dr. Lipani and the staff at Princeton Neurological Surgery are truly amazing at what they do. Initially I was apprehensive with the prospect of spinal surgery, but Dr Lipani thoroughly explained my condition, and the procedure he would use to correct it. He also answered any and all of my questions, which raised my comfort level considerably. Kathy, the Practice Administrator, handled of all of the details around insurance coverage, so I really felt like I was getting white glove service all around. After the surgery, the team was equally accommodating, and spent whatever time necessary answering the many questions my wife and I had – and we never felt like we were asking a silly question, even though we probably were! We were always received with sincerity, and with level of engagement that truly made us feel that they were just as concerned with my recovery as we were! 3 months after my procedure, I am now fully recovered thanks to Dr. Lipani and staff! I honestly can’t imagine having a better, or equal, experience anywhere else!

Not sure where to begin! I guess the best way for one to understand how great of an experience it was to have Dr. Lipani as my moms surgeon is this, I live 2,980 miles away. My mom is in NY and I live in CA. My mom and I are very close so it was hard to be away when I knew she was going into surgery. My brother would be there so there was some consolation in that but I knew I had to find a way to get home for a few days. Fast forward, now I’m in NY and sitting in the ICU hospital room where my mom is recovering. Dr. Lipani comes in and introduces himself. He then took the time to have an in depth conversation with my brother and me. We talked about the road to recovery my mom will go through and the success of the surgery. Although the news was good, I expressed to Dr. Lipani some of my concerns as a daughter living so far away and feeling helpless in being able to help my mom while my brother went to work. Dr. Lipani gave my brother and I both comfort in letting us know that he would be available and willing to update me being so far away. Dr. Lipani did just that! He would immediately return my calls or texts to reassure me that my mom would be ok and update me on the status of her going through physical therapy and when she would be discharged from the hospital. I can’t thank Dr. Lipani enough for being a doctor who truly cares. You are a Godsend. THANK YOU!
